Alexander Girard

Alexander Girard werd in 1907 geboren in New York City en was een van de vooraanstaande figuren van het naoorlogse Amerikaanse design, samen met zijn naaste vrienden en collega’s George Nelson and Charles & Ray Eames. 
His passion for colours, patterns and textures found expression in the field of textile design, which was a focal part of his oeuvre.
