Product story: Vitra Soft Pad Chairs EA 215/216 were designed by Charles & Ray Eames in 1969. The model EA 216 has a swivel seat, in contrast to the fixed base of EA 215. The seat is not particularly low and is easy to rise from, which makes these chairs ideally suited for lobbies, lounges and waiting areas. With their high backrest and soft upholstery, the Soft Pad Chairs EA 215 and EA 216 by Charles and Ray Eames remain comfortable even for prolonged sitting periods.
